1. Can SiLK Music perform our favorite song even though it is not in SiLK Music’s repertoire list?
Most probably yes! Send us an email with your request at least one month before your wedding date. Give us as
much information as possible about the music you would like to hear: title, composer, performer, text, musical
score, recording, movie it is featured in etc. The more information you provide, the easier it is for us to explore
and the better the chance we will be able to accomodate your request. Depending on the nature of the request,
a small surcharge might apply.
2. How many songs/pieces should we chose? What are the musical moments in a wedding ceremony?
You can include as many or as few musical moments as you wish in your wedding ceremony. A comprehensive list
of musical moments in a wedding ceremony includes:
- Pre-ceremony music
- Seating of the parents
- Processional music
- Bride entrance
- Unity candle
- Special music/offering
- Prayer
- Recessional music
- Post-ceremony music
3. Our (wedding) venue does not have a quality piano...
If your venue (indoor or outdoor) doesn’t have a quality piano, I can bring my professional keyboard for $150.
4. I am excited reading about SiLK, but would love to have a trumpet at my wedding. Is that possible?
We have many musical friends and are happy to invite them to play with (one/two or all of) us. Please do let us
know ahead of time if you have a special musician’s request.
5. We are getting married in a church with organ...
Kristof has no problem playing the organ. Yet, not all of our repertoire fits the instrument. Please, contact us to
discuss repertoire.
6. Can you play for our wedding rehearsal too?
We definitely can! Yet, this is not included in the price.
7. How much set-up time do you need?
If a quality piano is available, we need a few minutes of set-up time only. We need about an hour of set-up time
in case we need to bring our keyboard.
8. We would love to have live piano music during our reception/dinner. Can we hire Kristof for that?
Kristof would be happy to provide background music during your reception/dinner. He can play classical music
and/or jazz, pop... according to your preference.
9. How should we make the payment?
We accept cash, checks and credit card.
10. When is the payment due?
A 50% non-refundable deposit reserves the date for your event. Balance is due in full at or before the start of
your event.
